Harbour House is a large spacious Victorian property built around 1840 and now fully modernised to afford you a relaxed and peaceful stay.

Situated on the Quay of the newly developed Burry Port Marina you are surrounded by 3 harbours full of small working boats to luxury pleasure craft.
The Llwchwr Estuary lies outside the harbour gates with spectacular views to the famed Gower Peninsula and the clear air is full of the smell of the sea.


Burry Port lies in the centre of the Millennium Park with the coastal cycle track and path passing right outside you have level rides/walks either West to Pembrey Country Park or East to Llanelli.

Either choice gives you scenic sea views particularly over the Saltings Bird Sanctuary where Herons and other seabirds abound.
Burry Port is a small lively town with all modern facilities from banking to butchers and has ample pubs and restaurants.


The 7 miles of golden sands at Cefn Sidan Beach are nearby with safe swimming for all ages and the local beach is 2 minutes away.
Pembrey Park has a dry ski slope and toboggan run and an excellent Equestrian centre.

The Railway Line from Paddington to Fishguard/Pembroke stops right alongside the Harbour and you can ride to Carmarthen, Tenby or Swansea passing delightful coastal views over the Llwchwr and Towy Estuaries.

We have 3 large bedrooms available for guests as follows;
A large double ensuite overlooking the main harbour.
A spacious twin overlooking the West harbour.
A cosy twin overlooking the rear garden, which is full of local small birds.
Both twin rooms have their own full private bathrooms alongside.

The BARC Pembrey Race Circuit is close by as are the Championship Links Course of Ashburnham Golf Course and the Jack Nicklaus course at Machynys is 10 minutes away.

Directions: - Leave M4 at Junction 48 and head for Llanelli. Take the A484 coastal route for 3 miles to large roundabout and follow brown signs to Harbour and short stay car park to Harbour House.

Burry Port (Welsh: Porth Tywyn) is a town in Carmarthenshire, Wales, lying on the Loughor estuary.

The town is home to a harbour and is where Amelia Earhart landed as the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. The Pembrey Burrows sand dune and wetland system, home to a country park and the Cefn Sidan sands lie nearby.

The harbour - now a marina for small leisure craft - was constructed when Pembrey Harbour, just a mile to the west, became silted up. Like its predecessor, Burry Port Harbour served the coal industry which was mining through nearby hills and the Gwendraeth Valley. Later, the town's economy relied on a power station and small engineering companies.

It is possible to see traces of the original Gwendraeth Valley Canal and its later railway, which still carried passengers in the 1950s. Today, however, the town is served by Pembrey and Burry Port railway station with its connections east to London and west to Pembrokeshire.

Burry Port is a key location along the Millennium Coastal Path from Bynea near Llanelli to Pembrey Burrows. Townspeople who work locally do so largely in "metal-bashing" engineering, retail and local services. Burry Port boasts a small supermarket, specialist shops, several hairdressers, a beauty and skincare salon, an array of pubs and fast food outlets, a tiny library and a large secondary school.
